Suppose soeone ave you a sealed, solid-olored pen. You ouldn't see how uh ink it had. It iht run dry after the first few tentative words or last just lon enouh to reate a asterpiee （or several） that would last forever and ake a differene in the shee of thins. You don't know before you bein. Under the rules of the ae, you really never know. You have to take a hane!
Atually, no rule of the ae states you ust do anythin. Instead of pikin up and usin the pen, you ould leave it on a shelf or in a drawer where it will dry up, unused. But if you do deide to use it, what would you do with it? How would you play the ae? Would you plan and plan before you ever wrote a word? Would your plans be so extensive that you never even ot to the writin? r would you take the pen in hand, plune riht in and just do it, strulin to keep up with the twists ? Would you write autiously and arefully, as if the pen iht run dry the next oent, or would you pretend to believe that the pen will write forever and proeed aordinly?
And of what would you write: of love? Hatred? Fun? isery? Life? Death? Nothin? r everythin? Would you write to please just yourself, or others, or yourself by writin for others? Would your strokes be treblinly tiid or brilliantly bold? Fany with a flourish or plain? Would you even write? ne you have the pen, no rule says you have to write. Would you sketh? Sribble? Doodle or draw? Would you stay in or on the lines, or see no lines at all, even if they were there? There's a lot to think about here, isn't there?
