Nearly enty years since it was first released on the world, Steven Spielberg\'s 1982 sci-fi/fantasy masterpiece E.T.: THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL remains one of the greatest movies ever made. This is one of those films that makes us feel and think at the same time.
Its story of a very benign alien being aidentally left stranded on Earth and protected by a ten year-old boy (Henry Thomas) from government agents is so well known it doen\'t really have to be discussed. E.T. is, alternately, magical, fantastic, suspenseful, and sometimes even a bit terrifying. And sprinkled throughout the film are singular moments that really stand out as some of the most unfettable scenes in cinematic history; by this time, I think we know what those are. For me, perhaps the most priceless scene is the introduction beeen E.T. and Gertie (Drew Barrymore), where she screams her head off, It is one of the very few times where I\'ve wanted to laugh and scream at the same time!
Spielberg\'s film, though scripted by Melissa Mathison, is almost painfully autobiographical, given what the director has said about his childhood. Like Spielberg, Thomas\' character goes through life minus a father, even though his mother (Dee Wallace) does her best. He feels isolated and picked upon in school, as Spielberg frequently did. There is also plenty of religious symbolism that probably doesn\'t need any analysing and was probably unintentional. In any case, looking past the fact that it won four Oscars--for sound, sound effects editing, special effects, and John Williams\' legendary music score--and has grossed over $1 billion, E.T. is a masterpiece of the cinema, pure and simple, and it will always be that way.

Set in the late 13th century, \'Braveheart\' is the story of one of Scotland\'s greatest national heroes Sir William Wallace. leader of the Scottish resistance forces during the first years of the long, ultimately suessful struggle to free Scotland from English rule...
Crucially charismatic in the title role, Gibson plays the heroic figure and emerges as a remarkable hero with wit and romantic soul, determined to rid his country of its English oppressors...
Wallace\'s revolution was set in motion, with great obstacles from his countrymen... Many Scottish nobles lent him only grudging support as most of them were more concerned with wealth and titles than the freedom of the country... In fact, the Scottish leaders are in favor of revolt-or not-depending on English bribes... Wallace, by parison, is a man of honor, incorruptible and righteous... He was knighted and proclaimed \'guardian and high protector of Scotland,\' but as much as he railed against the Scottish nobles, submitted to Edward I, King of England, he was astonished and in shock to discover the treachery of the leading Scot contender for the throne—Robert, the Earl of Bruce—to whom he confided , \'The people would follow you, if you would only lead them.\' Sophie Marceau is exquisite as the distressed princess Isabella of France who ends up falling in love with Wallace, warning him out of several traps...
Catherine McCormack is a stunning beauty who ignites Wallace\'s revolution...
Patrick McGoohan is chilling, brutal, and vicious as the ruthless Edward I, known by the nickname \'Longshanks.\' This king remains simply the embodiment of evil...
While Angus McFadyen moves as a nobleman torn beeen his conscience and political aspiration, and Brendan Gleeson brings strength and humor to his role as the robust Hamish, David O\'Hara is very effective as the crazy Irishman who provides much of the film\'s ic relief from even the most tensed moments...
Mel Gibson has reason to be proud of \'Braveheart.\' It is a motion picture that dares to be excessive... Gibson presents passionately the most spaciously impressive battles (yet staged for films) even excessively, and it is his passion and excess that make the motion picture great... The horror and futility of massed hand-to-hand bats are exciting rather repulsive... It is epic film-making at its glorious best...
Gibson\'s \'Braveheart\' focuses on the human side of Wallace, a character so immense, so intelligent, and so passionate, exploring the definitions of honor and nobility, pushing us to follow the hero into his struggle against injustice and oppression...
There is a great shot of the lovely mountains of Scotland covered in mist with beautiful bagpipe music... James Horner\'s beautiful score, calls up memories of his work for \'Titanic.\'
铁甲钢拳 Real Steel (2011)
Real Steel is a really great movie! It\'s way better than I thought it would be. It has some immense robot fight scenes and keeps you watching excitedly all the way through. This film made me feel awesome about myself. The film is set in the near future when robots box instead of humans and shows Charlie(Hugh Jackman)and his son (Dakota Goyo)training a new robot, Atom, for robot fights. The fact that most, nearly all, the fighting is with robots, the robots can get badly damaged. During the film there is robot\'s arms ripped off, legs torn off and robot\'s heads knocked off! Real Steel has stunning graphics, action-packed fight scenes and a feel-good storyline! I would definitely remend this movie to everyone.

A BEAUTIFUL MIND (2001)
A Beautiful Mind\'s greatest achievement, in my humble opinion, is the way it makes schizophrenia aessible to "sane" people. The general public knows schizophrenics tend to talk to themselves, repeat certain actions and do things generally at odds with the norm. But why? It\'s nearly impossible for a "sane" individual to understand why this happens...and more importantly, what that feels like. Without this essential empathy, many people bee frustrated with the mentally ill, asking why patients can\'t pull themselves together and just bear up. We express this same impatience with the criminally insane who act upon delusions with disastrous results. It is inprehensible.
A Beautiful Mind does all it can to change that, and it sueeds. Unless you are familiar with John Nash\'s story, you probably won\'t guess he\'s schizophrenic until part-way into the movie. He\'s eentric, abrupt, and highly intelligent, but doesn\'t seem crazy. His delusions are as real as reality to Nash, and likewise, they are real to the audience, who cannot tell the difference beeen truth and delusion.
Incidentally, I came across a review from a "professional critic" who blasted A Beautiful Mind for including "all that spying stuff that had nothing to do with Nash\'s work that was thrown in for Hollywood thrill." I feel bad for that chap, since he missed the entire point of the film. But that just proves Ron Howard\'s genius in creating a picture of insanity indistinguishable from reality.
There are some truly shocking moments in A Beautiful Mind. When Alicia finds her husband\'s secret cache of newspaper clippings behind their house, I was eerily reminded of Jack Nicholson\'s wife in The Shining discovering his endless, typewritten pages of the same phrase. The scene that follows, culminating with Nash\'s realization that his delusions are indeed a false reality is brilliant. In a moment, remembering Marcee, Nash has a flash of insight, and he finally aepts his illness -- ironically, through his intellect. When Nash imagines that someone is going to harm Alicia, he lunges at her -- and only through his eyes do we see how a seemingly senseless act of violence is a gesture of love, filtered through the smog of delusion.
Now my take on the acting: Superb in every sense of the word. Russell Crowe is incredible. I can\'t stress that enough. There\'s never any question about the authenticity of his character. Crowe doesn\'t rely on his elaborate makeup to age Nash -- his walk, words, and voice do that elegantly in the movie\'s end. Crowe will get at least another Oscar nomination out of this one. And, he better win. Jennifer Connelly is amazing as well. And when Crowe and Connelly are put together, extraordinary chemistry erupts, they just gel together, they really belong with one another. Some people have had problems with the romance part of the movie, saying that the way John and Alicia even started seeing each other wasn\'t very realistic and why Alicia would stay with John after he bees distant. But, I think that maybe it started out as just a crush, you know, and the math question she showed him was just her excuse for going to his office and she already knew she was going to ask him out before hand. Maybe she\'s just attracted to the kind of person Nash is? Who knows? A lot of people are attracted to the "weirdest" things sometimes. The crush took over the fact that he sort of insulted her work and she still asked him anyway. When you\'re around someone you like so much you can\'t help but be fooled by them. I can\'t really explain it, but I can understand why she still asked him to dinner. And I guess if you love someone as much as Alicia loved John, then you would stick with them through anything. Even how distant he became, she still stuck with him.
Moving on, I think Ed Harris is, as always, great. Harris continues to prove that, simply because he\'s flawless. With delusions like these, no wonder Nash was torn beeen treatment and "spying."
Simply put, A Beautiful Mind is a film which extends far beyond the 2 hours and 15 minutes that you will spend viewing it in the theater. The characters continued to haunt me after the movie (and still do), thanks to the Oscar-inducing performances by Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and all of the supporting players. They are not merely acting, yet are transformed into the characters, leaving no trace of a line beeen their part and reality.
Of course a film is only as good as a screenplay would allow, and the story contained within is written in a way that pliments everything that is truly great about A Beautiful Mind. Ron Howard contributes truly inspiring work to this film, and I hope that the critics remember him when awards are being given out.
All I can tell you now is that if you\'re looking for an emotionally-charged movie that will make you cry, but still filters in some very funny moments as to lighten things up every now and then, with near perfect acting, cinematography, directing, editing and a screenplay which will cause the story of John Nash to inspire you, then consider A Beautiful Mind.
I hope a lot of people see this film. Not just because Russell Crowe is a hunk or because it\'s a Ron Howard piece, but because you will learn something important. You will learn why passion is an absolute must when dealing with the mentally ill. You won\'t glare at the next person you see muttering to themselves. And when someone you love is dealing with a disorder, be it schizophrenia or depression, you won\'t ask them to "pull themselves together." You will understand why they need your love -- because they are just as confused as you are.
In closing, if Russell Crowe isn\'t awarded the Best Actor Oscar this year, then my faith in movies and its rewards system will be seriously tarnished.

你要的那个实在是找不到,给你一个《2012》的英文影评吧,是专业人士写的:
The world is ending in a matter of hours, yet justice and humanity don’t perate through the brain-shells of politicians. In order to save their own lives, the government officials keep the secret from the rest of human kind and also lets the man whose knowledge saves their lives die. This is the premise of 2012.
But if the viewer is a Tibetan or someone who is aware of the Tibetan culture and the sensitivities of Tibetan issue, one could feel that the justice and humanity are not ourred in the director’s thought either.
There is a scene long enough to mention that takes place in Tibet. In fact the last human beings die there and the new seed of the future human race starts at the neck of Mount Everest, “The People’s Republic of China” the movie calls it. Perhaps what no movie reviewer noticed or saw the importance of mentioning is that the prophetic fictitious story of the movie not only makes a statement that Tibet is pletely a part of China, but also it totally misrepresents the core culture of Tibetan people. A Tibetan woman killing animals in Tibet is taboo, it never happened except during the Cultural Revolution when some women were forced to do so. Women killing chickens in the Chinese market is an everyday event, but a Tibetan woman killing a CHICKEN reflects the director’s cultural ignorance and it makes the movie even more ridiculous.
And in real life ethically speaking, Mr. Emmerich failed to hire Tibetan actors who can speak their own language. All the actors who play Tibetan characters are Chinese very poorly pretending to be Tibetans. Their Tibetan is hundred times worse than Zhang Yi’s memorized English or Leonardo DiCaprio’s Swahili (well I can imagine!).
绝对专业,好不容易给你找的,望采纳,谢谢!
求一篇 电影 英文影评!
If you\'ve ever been poor, this movie may be hard to watch. It depicts poverty in America in gut wrenchingly aurate ways. I\'ve been as poor as Chris Gardner, and, like him, I\'ve been poor among very rich people in the Bay Area while trying to work my way up.
Chris Gardner is a loving father and failing businessman. He is chosen for a petitive internship at Dean Witter, a stock brokerage. The internship, which offers Chris a very long shot at a better life, doesn\'t pay any salary. Chris has to live without a salary for six months while risking just about everything for that long shot gamble.
Chris is really smart. He can solve a Rubrik\'s cube in minutes. But, he\'s poor. Poverty, like an ocus, keeps trying to suck him down to the bottom, and make him stay there.
His car is towed. His wife walks out on him, leaving him with a five year old son. He is arrested for unpaid traffic tickets. He bees homeless. He has to rely on a homeless shelter.
All this while, he must appear for work in the morning in a suit and tie, and be ready to charm some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in the Bay Area. These people take wealth so much for granted that o of them stiff him for cab fare.
Having lived through similar experiences, I cringed throughout this movie. My stomach hurt. I winced. I cried. I hugged my knees to my chest.
The movie is very aurate, but painful to watch. I hope a lot of rich people, who think that they understand poverty, see it.
This movie will be politically controversial. First of all, it doesn\'t touch the race issue with a ten foot pole. For example, when Chris appears to stiff a taxi driver for fare (it was really the rich white guy who failed to pay), the taxi driver never uses the "n" word. In real life, I think he probably would have.
Is the movie afraid to talk about race, or does it not want to? I don\'t know, but I know that some will protest the movie\'s not shoving race in the movie goer\'s face. I\'m not one of those people. The movie\'s approach to race -- treating it as almost incidental -- worked for me. As a poor white person, I can tell you that poor white people face the same obstacles Chris did.
Second, does the movie sell the message that if you work hard, you will sueed, no matter what, and does that message tell the truth about suess in America? I think that the movie is open to interpretation. Some will see it as an indictment of poverty in America. The scene of carefree rich people driving past the line to get into a homeless shelter is pretty devastating. Other people will bee angry because they believe that the movie\'s depiction of hard work leading to rewards, in some cases, is too facile. I disagree, but that\'s what you\'ll hear.
Third, is this movie meant to chastise black men who abandon their children? Chris is a role model exactly because he moves heaven and earth to be a good father to his son. This will be debated back and forth.
The movie has a big philosophical statement to make, that has been lost on many reviewers, for example, Richard Schickel in TIME.
Chris is shown running throughout the movie. Remember the title of the movie: "The PURSUIT of Happiness." Chris places emphasis on "pursuit." Jefferson, when he penned the Declaration of Independence, did not promise Americans happiness, but only the right to pursue it. Chris says, at one point in the movie, paraphrase, "I am happy right now. It is a fleeting moment." We experience happiness in eyeblinks. The rest of the time we, like Chris, are chasing after it.
